Manhunt underway as prisoner in Nike 110s escapes

Police are hunting a convicted murderer who escaped from a Liverpool hospital yesterday. Michael Burford, 33, vanished from Aintree Hospital while receiving treatment for an unrelated condition. Authorities believe he left the facility on foot.

Burford, serving a life sentence for the 2014 murder of James Elliott, was considered a high-risk offender. He was last seen wearing distinctive Nike Air Max 270 trainers, often called "Nike 110s" – a popular sneaker style. (Sneakers are athletic shoes.)

A large-scale search is underway, involving Merseyside Police and specialist units. Residents are urged not to approach Burford but to immediately contact authorities if spotted. The public is advised to remain vigilant and secure their homes.

"We are doing everything we can to apprehend Burford and ensure public safety," stated a police spokesperson. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
